Abstract

Alasangker Village in Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency has many types of worship, one of which is the Pujawali Ceremony at the Bale Agung Tenaon Village Temple. This is a sacred ceremony to worship Hyang Widhi and the holy spirits of ancestors. This Pujawali Ceremony has the same form as other Bale Agung Village Temples, especially those in Bali, but the process is different. In this study, a problem was formulated, namely (1) What is the form of the implementation of the Pujawali Ceremony at the Bale Agung Tenaon Village Temple, Alasangker Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency, (2) What is the function of the implementation of the Pujawali Ceremony at the Bale Agung Tenaon Village Temple, Alasangker Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency, (3) What is the philosophical meaning of the implementation of the Pujawali Ceremony at the Bale Agung Tenaon Village Temple, Alasangker Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency. The purpose of this study is (1) to find out how the implementation of the Pujawali Ceremony is carried out at the Bale Agung Tenaon Village Temple, Alasangker Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency, (2) to find out how the function of the implementation of the Pujawali Ceremony is carried out at the Bale Agung Tenaon Village Temple, Alasangker Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency, (3) to find out what the philosophical meaning of the implementation of the Pujawali Ceremony is at the Bale Agung Tenaon Village Temple, Alasangker Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency. The theory of form, function, and meaning is used in this study, which is a qualitative approach. The primary and secondary data of this scientific work come from the field and literature. They are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.
